A delegation consisting of Daniel Diker, Ambassador Dore Gold, Vice Prime Minister Moshe “Bogey” Yaalon just returned from meetings at the White House with top administration officials where they presented and discussed an in depth study called “Israel’s Critical Security Needs for a Viable Peace.”
Major General Dayan will be discussing with us these White House meetings from which he just returned.
Born in 1948. Grew up on Moshav Hayogev in the northern part of Israel. Spent his 36-year military career as a soldier, officer and top commander of the IDF’s top intelligence and commando units. Commanded troops in the Six-Day War, the 1973 Yom Kippur War and in the Lebanon War. Also served as the IDF deputy chief of staff and as national security adviser to Prime Ministers Ehud Barak and Ariel Sharon. He now works closely with Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
This is an important opportunity for us to hear Maj-Gen Dayan; to ask questions and present our concerns as American Jews and all who care about Israel and are interested in this issue.
