STEVE EMERSON

WHAT CAN THE PRIVATE CITIZEN DO
TO FIGHT THE WAR ON TERROR?

We are delighted to welcome Steve Emerson in one of his rare appearances in Los Angeles. An internationally recognized authority in terrorism, Mr. Emerson is the author of several best-sellers, among them American Jihad, and Jihad in America, a George Polk award-winner.
His expertise spans the dark worlds of Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad, and he has been called dozens of times to brief Congress on the inner workings of these groups. Following the PBS broadcast of his documentary film, "Jihad in America," Mr. Emerson founded The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) in 1995, for which he serves as the executive director.
We have asked Mr. Emerson to speak with us particularly on the topic of how we as private citizens can have an effect in fighting the most poisonous ideology of the 21st Century -- radical Islam. This will be an examination, not of radical Islam per se, but of actual steps we can take to confront and deal with this ideology in practical terms -- not an exercise in theory, but in practicality. We need to stop discussing and start acting.
Since space is limited and the demand will be great,
please let us know as soon as possible if you can attend.
