Since the founding of the Jewish State, Israel’s leaders have repeatedly reached out their hands in peace toward their Arab neighbors. While these gestures have sometimes been reciprocated, Israel’s offers have also often been met with intransigence and violence. As his administration winds down, President Bush has turned to the Middle East in order to secure his legacy. The American Jewish community obviously has interest in these efforts, both domestically and internationally.
In order to clarify the issues and options facing Israel, Children of Jewish Holocaust Survivors Los Angeles, along with the Zionist
Organization of America and the Westside JCC, will be hosting a debate about the post-Annapolis peace process.

Noted scholar Dr. Michael Berenbaum will take on the ZOA’s Steven M. Goldberg on the prospects and pitfalls of Middle East peacemaking, with Dean Sam Edelman of the
American Jewish University moderating. |
